Without Walls

Horses are social creatures. It's Saturday and many of the horses here at the ranch are out with their humans and half the stalls are empty. The remaining horses are nervous and keep calling their missing friends.

These horses are separated - all in their own stall - but still they form bonds.

Recently, Sunshine got to share pasture time with an Arabian mare named Layla. I hope she gets to do this often. As close as stablemates get, the friendship is so much more intense when you can be together without walls. I think it's the same for us.
